downjonsie Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Exactly as the title suggests. After a while of killing in Bleak Falls Barrow (where o first ran into this problem, mostly after about 7 Draugr), everything I kill thereafter (including my PC after she dies) has a very erratic flickering/spasm from several t-poses facing different directions and periodically back to the ragdoll position. The spasm probably flips 15-20 different positions per second. There are a few instances where they would stop flickering but would be stuck in a t-pose, as well. XPMSE is up-to-date, FNIS ran, etc. I have Dead Bodies Collision fix installed (thinking this would fix it, to no avail). As well, Populated Skyrim mod. I thought it might have been a dead body overload, but began realizing it starts happening even with fewer kills than a typical Vanilla Skyrim. Any suggestions?
Testificateguy Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 I've had this issue before, with all the flickering and T posing, which turned out to be caused from using "Engine Bug Fixes" by Meh, with the mod INI setting "CapHavokFPS" set to 1 (which I forgot I was testing out). Turning it back off to 0 fixed that issue. Not sure if you are using said mod/setting, but that is what affected my game. I would also say to make sure your FPS is capped to 60, or you have setup the fMaxTime incase you are using a higher refresh rate monitor and want a custom FPS cap.

I do have that, with CapHavokFPS=60. So I will try that, thank you. What's the best way to limit fps? I have a 2k overhaul with paralax and Skyrim runs just fine at 130-145 fps, with an enb crunching it down to 55-60

Not sure if that is the best way though.. but it works.

However, I do know that on some system it doesn't work or only works in specific instances (rarely). The work around would be to use VSync, either from ENB again with EnableVSync=True , your GPU control panel, or other 3rd party tools like RivaTuner or Nvidia Inspector. I would recommend the ENB FPS limiter first, then the ENB VSync if the limiter doesn't work, unless you want VSync of course. Should also mention to not use all these methods at once, that will probably cause issue. Hope this helped
downjonsie Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 Oh yah, my ENB has a limiter. I actually disabled my graphics vsync and triple buffer because it limited me to 30fps. Guess I ought to use some vsync. Thanks again, mate! Btw yes turning off CapHavokFPS worked in fixing my issue.
