Does anyone know of a way to get Devious Devices mods to use something other than the default DD armbinder?

I find the rubber cone armbinder type thing DD has to be really ugly and out-of-place. Is there any way to get DD and its derivatives to use a set of shackles or something else similar instead?

A hacky solution could be to replace the armbinder mesh & texture files with the ones for shackles. So functionally nothing changes, but armbinders now look like shackles. The main advantage of this approach is that none of the armbinder-related mods need to be adjusted.

I'm not an expert on this though. Replacing the mesh files like that could cause problems I'm unaware of.
