Guest Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I was wondering if anyone would be interested in collaborating with me to create a mod (probably over several months)? I've no experience (or time) with creating mods but plenty of experience in writing material (GMing roleplaying games for a good many years). The idea is this: You, the Dragonborn, are someone from Earth who has been brought to Skyrim by some means. You've either been summoned here somehow or your soul has been transferred into a body you don't recognise (maybe even of the opposite sex!). The mod gives you a few conversation options that reflect this strange experience. When meeting people for the first time, there is a conversation option that will progress you through a series of questions which will shed light on the mystery of the world you've found yourself in. "Where am I?" "Is this a game?" "Are you for real?" "Was that ... magic!?" etc As each question is answered, it unlocks further questions (which you generally must find someone new to talk to about). Some people will refuse to answer you if they are hostile towards you. Or they may in fact lie to you. In this case, that question may come up again at a later date. People like slavers are likely to lie about the very nature of your existence in order to encourage you to accept a submissive role. Others more religious types may go on about a Prophecy they think concerns you... You will learn that there are others like you. They are known in Skyrim as "Outlanders". There will be a list of all followers in mod manager - and you may select those you wish to have a common background of being summoned from Earth. When you meet them, you will have conversation options that reflect your shared origins. They will also make random comments about how they feel about Skyrim from an Outlander's point of view. In the long run, I'd like to have a quest that will eventually lead you to a way to go home. Or perhaps to allow a follower to return home with messages for your loved ones.
