Questions about final patching of merged mods with TES5Edit in MO

I have a question about TES5Edit and wrye Bash and a esp causing problems with TES5Edit. 

 

I went and open tes5edit to make the TES5EditMerged Patch. I noticed that one of the esp files called Extended Slider Colors.esp takes too long to load. Then When I try to make the TES5EditMerged Patch it crashes. This Extended Slider Colors.esp file is from the mod called All in one pussy and it's about 88mb's. I am assuming it maybe too big to Patch with tes5edit so i disabled it and the patch worked.

 

Doe's anybody know anything about why Extended Slider Colors.esp in all in one pussy mod on why it is causing problems?

 

My next question is when you are finished with TES5EditMerged Patch do you disable that patch in mo when you run wrye Bash patch to make the final patch?

exclude the esp from your merge patch if its breaking it would be my first suggestion.  not sure why an esp for something like that would need to be in a merge patch to begin with.

 

dont build bash patch into merge patch or merge patch into bash patch.  though it shouldn't matter since the bash patch is for leveled lists and the merge patch should have ANY leveled list data deleted.

 

have you tried mator smash?  its a standalone program to build essentially a merge patch with bash patch functionality.

I've been watching GamerPoets Mator Smash : Installation & General Use tutorial and Matortheeternal tutorial video to learn mator smash software program.

 

I'm a little slow at new stuff... So the program mator smash is taking me sometime to learn like trying to learn mo and other tools all over again for skyrim the past 2 months.

 

Anyways my next question i have now is about the merged plugins that I merged with Merged plugins software. Does the merged mods that I merged need to have it's own patch with mator smash.  Do i need to make separate mater smash patches for each merged plugin that i merged in the past?

It sounds like I got to reinstall all the mods again and make mator smash patch for the mods before i merge them together in one esp file and then merge them and do another mator smash patch.  Do i need to do a mator smash patch after the mods that i have merged and make separate patches for each merged mods that i merged?

 

Let me know about some info on mator smash on patching the Merged esp's mods. Sorry I'm a little dense with new programs sometimes.

 

One more dumb question with having mator smash software program do i need wrye bash anymore?

when i was merging plugins i used mator smash first to make a smash patch only for the plugins i planned to merge, and then i used the merge plugin program to merge all of them (including the custom smash patch).  more often then not though it isn't necessary because most mods you use merge plugin on dont have conflicting entries. 

 

only example of one i have i can think of is an armor mod pack that packages two armor mods that have leveled list entries.  without the custom smash patch then only one of the mods leveled list entries would survive, with it both do.

 

point is you can build the smash patch before you merge some mods, but check it with tes5edit to make sure its not just a blank file afterwards.

Ok thanks for your help. I'll be doing some testing for the next day or 2 to see if everything went fine with me just making one smash patch.

Well the results are in. I tested the game a little and the game seems to be 95% fine. I noticed one problem with the all female guards mod that I installed. The female guards are bald with no hair lol. But I had that problem before I patched everything with mator smash. So I'm going to try and track down the problem with the all female guards mod bald problem today. Right now I'm just testing the game to see if I got the major things fixed for my Skyrim. I'll be testing some more to see if anymore problems come along.  

 

Thanks for your help, I just have a couple of last questions.

 

I am playing the guessing game when I try to patch everything and I want to know if I'm doing it right. I've looked for videos on youtube but couldn't find anything to tell me how to patch with all theses tools that i downloaded FNIS, ASIS Patcher, Mator Smash. I just want to know if I'm doing it correctly.

 

This is what I do in this order.

 

I disable FNIS Behavior and ASIS Patcher and then I run mator smash to make the patch. I select every esp on the list in mator smash list except skyrim esp to build the patch. After the smash patch is made I enable smash Patch in mo and i don't disable any mod or any patches when i run ASIS patcher. Then I enable ASIS Patch and run the final tool FNIS to make the final patch and I don't disable any mods or patches for that patching either. is that the correct way to patch everything?

 

Also when I watched GamerPoets video on mator smash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l39VMssZmjE . I noticed he had Tes5edit Merged patch under Smash Patch. Do people still use tes5edit to make a merge patch with smash patch as well or am I just reading into too much of GamerPoets video on how to patch things?
