Guest
Upon trying to make room on my laptop for an MMO that takes up like 50 gb of space (PSO2), i deleted my Oblivion game folder and the big folder containing backups of all my mods i had. Then a few days to a week later, find out I cant restore the folders to a previous recovery state. So basically all the weeks of modding and combining stuff (im looking at you MBP, all your stuff...) I lost it all and gotta start over from square 1. crap. Link to comment
Fienyx
You're not alone. I recently used shift+delete to remove some unwanted files and lost all the mods I had merged together. In the process of redoing what I had, and taking advantage of the knowledge I gained the first time around and doing a better job this time. Link to comment
Shadowhawk827
I feel for yah. Hopefully you can recover most if not all the files from online sources. I had the same thing happen back in the day with Morrowind and Oblivion both. Now I keep copies of all my mods backed up on an external HDD. Doubly glad I do given how mods sometimes disappear from sites. Link to comment
Fienyx
As I'm going through and re-downloading mods, I have discovered there's a few mods I can't find now. The most important one is the Placeable Candles and Stands mod, where the candles can be turned on and off and are sold in shops. Forget who made it, but I can't find it anymore. As for remaking all the custom merged mods I had, which I had done with Gecko in the past (and then having to fix errors by hand... PITA! ), I'm now using Merge Plugins, which fixes errors and renumbers what needs renumbering. So far, haven't run into any issues with it. Using it for Oblivion instructions can be found in this guide. Link to comment

Fienyx
Have IFR. Wasn't sure if they have the same candles. The item list is a file type I've never seen before. Still would really like to have the candle mod though, lol. Link to comment

fejeena
Think the candle Mod was "Portable Candles and Stands" but the file is removed from Nexus. There are some other old Mods with portable light https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/7920/?https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/34410/?https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/7614/? I don't have the "Portable Candles and Stands" Mod. Maybe DogOnPorch have the file, he mentioned the Mod here https://www.loverslab.com/topic/2741-better-lighting-mod/?do=findComment&comment=62255 EDIT: Oh , I was too late. Link to comment

Guest
wasn't someone making an all-in-one MBP file thingy? I saw mention of it...somewhere~ Anyway, I may just stick to trying to mod other games ATM, or see what games can be modded to add in certain things (redacted mention of things as idk if adult talk is allowed here) Link to comment
