Deleting part of armor + question

Hi

 

I was hoping somebody could delete the mask from this armor:

Unfortunately the mask is boud the the armor, so deleting the mask in nifskope results in quite the whole armor to disappear.

I would highly appreciate it since I have no idea how to do it:D

 

 

And then I have a small question regarding the scaling of armor.

When I change the scale of an armor, it seems to work in nifskope as the armor (part) actually gets bigger (or smaller).

But in skyrim it seems not to take any effect at all. The armor doesnt want to get any bigger. I changed it as seen in the picture:

Do I have to do anything else or is it actually not possible to make a part bigger as it probably wouldn't fit to the body anymore?!
