Wanted to start a thread about this as I really love the concept of this mod, yet I cannot seem to get it to work at all - I've been trying for weeks but whatever I try, the instant I should see a chain beast everything goes black except the UI - the game/sounds continue but I can't see anything at all regardless of if I'm in day or night, or even in the middle of a city. I've tried asking on the mods page for help but haven't heard anything yet. I have the latest stable OBSE installed along with several plugins - seen here from BOSS:

OBSE Version: 0.0.20.6

Elys_USV.dll

OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll

SoundCommands.dll

sr_Oblivion_Stutter_Remover.dll Version: 4.1.0.0

weOCPS.dll

Here's my current load order after a reinstall from OBMM:

Oblivion.esm

DLCShiveringIsles.esp

Loading Screens - Vanilla No Text.esp

Streamline 3.1.esp

DMRA Stock Clothing Skimpy.esp

DMRA Stock Armor Skimpy.esp

DMRA Skimpy Armor Expanded.esp

Knights.esp

quickstart.esp

Chain it!.esp

Specialanims.esp

UChainBeast.esp

zzEstrus.esp

FuroGeneratorTrap.esp

LeatherArmor.esp

milkslave.esp

TafasSexyLingerieset02.esp

If this is the wrong place I'm sorry, but I hope someone can help.

Try to reinstall chainbeasts manually. Something might've gone wrong (could be a skeleton problem).

If that fails, push UChainBeast.esp further down the load order and see if it helps.

Ok try switching your load order to this.

Stuff in blue should be replaced with recommendations at the bottom of this post.

Oblivion.esm

DLCShiveringIsles.esp

Knights.esp

Streamline 3.1.esp

quickstart.esp

DMRA Stock Clothing Skimpy.esp

DMRA Stock Armor Skimpy.esp

DMRA Skimpy Armor Expanded.esp

LeatherArmor.esp

milkslave.esp

TafasSexyLingerieset02.esp

Chain it!.esp

zzEstrus.esp

FuroGeneratorTrap.esp

UChainBeast.esp

Disable for time being and if it still [/color]happens

Loading Screens - Vanilla No Text.esp

Specialanims.esp

Recommend using instead.

Alternative Start Arrive by Ship (Much more stable then quickstart and more friendly with character creation)

No luck - tried reinstalling it manually (both an older version and the most current version) as well as using the suggested order/replacements but again - I activate the Chain Beast Egg and when I should see a Chain Beast, everything goes black again with just the UI showing.

Chain beast has always been abit...wonky. Make a clean save, then try bumping back to an old version like 1.24. Run it, see if it works. Then update to 1.30, then upto 1.31 and up to 1.32.

All the version of the mod work so its most likely something else then the mod itself.

Do you have obse installed?

Yes' date=' as shown in my first post I have the latest available version ^^;

Just tried using 1.23 with as clean as I could and still the same issue.

Okay now the messy side, you probably won't like it.

Move your obse(and maybe your pluggy/ess just incase) saved data. You can find it in my documents\my games\oblivion\saves it'll be with the saved data too. This will reset any existing any mods that use obse\ess\pluggy saved data. There's kind of a serious problem with the mod corrupting variables in the obse data.

Give that a try and see what happens. In the past that has worked for me about 70% of the time.

Ok, sorry for the late reply - ended up upgrading my system all around and on reinstalling everything Chain Beasts is now working without any real issues of note. Not sure what was wrong originally but thanks for all the help offered - I really appreciate it. :)
