Punga Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I was wandering what mod sets the bandits and other killable npcs to "protected"? This is very annoying, especially when using a mod like POP where the bounty hunters take my pc to the jail, and we run into some of these fuckers. The BHs will fight them forever. I have to console delete them so the game can carry on. I've looked in console but they do not have the "last modified" -modname, just "define" - Skyrim. I tried looking with Tes5 but there are soooo many npcs listed there, it will take me a whole year to look through them all. Anyone else ran into this rather annoying issue? Solution?
AceofWind Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Do you have a modlist to share so we can find out? You can add and remove the essential flag on npcs with console commands Open the command console with the tilde key, click the npc to get a list and find it's base id (or was it the reference id?) and enter the following: setessential baseid # Make essential = 1 Remove essential = 0 For example with Lydia, your housecarl, making her un-killable should look like this: setessential 000A2C8E 1
Punga Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 They are set to protected not essential. As I understand it. Essential - no one can kill them. Protected - only the player can kill them and it has to be in game, console kills do not work.
Stiffon Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 What mods are you using that affect npc's?
