Dread Hunter and Huntress Armor Alteration

I'm rather chagrin to request anything given I'm not exactly an active participant here, but I seem to be lacking recourse.

 

My goal is to replace the under-armor section of the female version in this mod.

With something, well, flatter.

 

That and I've been trying to figure out how to add the chest plate from the male version onto the female one.

 

The alternative is to make the shoulder plates and chest plate independent objects that can be worn over another outfit.

 

Problem is I lack all the tools necessary to port the models all the way out to blender or the likes and while I have been reading up on how to move all these parts about I also still lack the skill necessary to achieve anything.

 

My attempts thus-far have only resulted in invisible parts or CTDs.

 

 

Would someone be able to help on this? Or perhaps there's a good rundown on how to do it using existing assets in the editor and nifskope?

 

For now I guess I can go study and tinker more. >_>

 

 

EDIT: I guess I should also note that the reason I request this is that at this point it's apparent the original author is not intent upon making an alternate version.

 

If I or another person does manage to make one, I am kind of hoping we could get their permission to distribute it, but mostly this is a personal desire/goal.

 

EDIT2: New question! If I can disable the body-slot on the armor from being used in the CK and then delete the body-mesh off the armor, would that more or less alloy me to use the shoulder plates as an addition to another outfit?

 

If so, which thingy is the one that dictates body-slots? Currently picking apart a few mods to see if I can figure it out myself.

 

EDIT3: Biped Object? Guess can see if I can disable the body-slot on there and see if that works. >_>

 

EDIT4: Yes! ...but now it's invisible... Methinks I'll have to attach it to something else.

 

EDIT4: Well it partially works now, need to tweak the nif because it's messing with lighting.

 

EDIT5: Oki, now I just need to find a decent replacement for the under-armor...
