Unknown3 Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 I'm trying to find a singlet/tanktop mod that allows me to keep my own body (which I use as an item, CBBE Body Slim from Summer Wear) and not replace it. All the mods I have found seem to be full body shirts that make me unequip my body and use the body that comes with the clothes. Is there any guides I can follow to use Bodyslide to fix this?
imacarl Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 typically modders build the body into the top because in skyrim code i would think it automatically replaces the body mesh. removing the body would give you a floating shirt and no body. (and a mismatched clothing shape, to preferred body). If you dont manually(or bodyslide, if the clothing set comes with sliders) shape the clothign to the body, you wont get your desired outcome. There isn't a way for the game to automatically detect your body and morph the clothing to it automatically.
Sceadugengan Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 The body is partitioned in several sections such as torso, head, hands and feet. When you equip a piece of armor the whole section is replaced by the mesh of the item. The body you see inside the armor is actually part of the mesh itself. You can use Bodyslide to replace the body mesh inside the armor mesh with your prefered body. The tutorial for that is here. If you want to use the tanktop as some kind of accessory you can also delete the body mesh and change the biped slot of the mesh (using Nifskope) and the armor addon (using TES5Edit) to something else than the biped slots that the previously mentioned sections use. You need to change the biped slot for both or the equipment will just be invisible in-game.
