SD uses the Devious framework, so the dialog options provided by the mod should recognize and remove Devices from both SD and other mods in the Devious family. Advantages/drawbacks of the common resources and frameworks - mods can interact with each other. In this case i don't think it is an intended result of that SD dialog option. However, I know I have used it to good effect to minimize the frustration from cursed loot and similar events - flee the encounter and run to the city and you can escape...
