knoFear Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I downloaded an armor set, I think it's for another 3d application. Anyway, the package come with couple of folders(Geometries, textures and libraries). Long story short, I imported an .obj file from the geometries folders with a editable poly option selected, and manage to somewhat fit it onto a CBBE body. There was a message saying "missing material" when I import the .obj file, where can I found the material file? As you can see, the armor piece also missing textures. In the texture folders, there are couple of texture files but all of them are in jpeg format. How can I hook those texture up with the armor in max ? As an amateur, I am thinking convert the jpeg into dds with PS, export the armor piece in nif format with max, then hook both up with nifskope. Will that work? I hope someone can give me a few pointers as I have read tons of stuff from google search and none of those give me any clue. Thanks in advance. (edit title and content)Avoid getting LL into hot water.
Ark of Truth Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 As far as I know your not allowed to do this unless its for personal use. I'm sure one person has already been caught for doing this as its breaking copyright.

I treat it like a very complex math formula, I just trying to solve it. Thanks for pointing that out.

I don't no where this is coming from since it's common knowledge' date=' and that hasn't stopped people from doing it for Oblivion for years. Edit: Get Fbx plugin for 3ds max if you don't have it here. FBX export settings I use are here.
