How do I get the white synth uniform?

Is there any way that I can get the white synth uniform without having to kill a synth that's wearing it in the institute?

So, here's what the wiki has to say about it:

• Obtainable variants worn by second-generation synths within the Institute; unobtainable variants located on randomly generated 2nd-generation synth enemies in the Commonwealth.
• Can be found in the inventory of X6-88.
• Both the synth requisition officer and the synth cafeteria worker wear one.
• Right before going into Old Robotics, they can be looted from four of the generation 2 synths in the sewers during The Nuclear Option.
• Worn by end bosses Z4K-97B and A-2018. But one can also be obtained via random courser spawns despite the fact it is a very low chance of being on the corpse.

The easiest method probably would be by adding it to your inventory. Unless the wiki is wrong you just should be able to do so by typing 'player.additem 0012b91d 1' into the console.

Can I steal one through pickpocketing?

I took another glance at the wiki, and this is what I found:
 

 

The game allows you to steal a synth uniform from certain synth NPCs in the Institute so long as they are not walking, such as when they are sweeping or acting as a merchant. These uniforms may be otherwise unobtainable even if the synth is killed.

 

 

So yes, I assume if you got rank 4 of the pickpocketing perk you are (at least in certain situations) capable of stealing those outfits!
