Hey all.

 

I created a Blackjack variant in VB.NET which allows you to use your own image directories as card-art. It was mostly an excercise in creating a card game but it turned out pretty well and quite addicting so I decided to share it with you all. There aren't fancy playmodes. It's just a basic variant of 21 where you play against the computer.

You can use the 'starter deck' images included in the program, which contains mostly non-nude hentai/cartoon & some cosplay images, also displayed in the screenshots. But you can load any directory that has more than 52 'portrait orientated' images (where the height of the image must be larger than the width to be displayed correctly on a card).

 

Features

- The game sound can be turned off, and you can play fullscreen (default).

- The cards are quite large and don't scale with the program, I am working on scaled cards but GDI only offers so much.

- When you click on a card, the image is loaded in explorer so you can view it up close with your default viewer.

- You can also load text files that contain the paths of images, so you can create your own 'decks' based on image locations you paste into a text file.

- Load new images and decks at any time, even during gameplay.

 

Rules

- With equal outcome the bank always wins.

- If you win with blackjack you win double your bet

- The bank plays aggressive style BlackJack.

 

Installation

Unzip all files to any folder, read the readme & eula.txt file, then run the exe.

This program has been scanned using Microsoft Security Essentials and contains no virues, malware or any other harmful software code.

It has been tested on Windows 7 professional and requires .NET framework.

 

The most common question will be about the error 'not enough images found'.

Even though a pic folder can have 1000 wallpapers, wallpapers are usually landscape orientated images, which this program ignores. This program needs a folder that contains at least 52 portrait orientated images. When this error pops up, in 99.9% of the cases this means the folder you chose actually doesn't have 52+ portait oriented images.

Installation Guide

Unzip into the game folder. Go to Menu > Images Path > Click and browse for the directory you just unzipped.

If you are running a game and want to apply the deck to the running game, go to Menu > Randomize Images
