When Skyrim becomes pleasantly odd

Preface; my Skyrim installation is three years old and is heavily modded. Amorous Adventures, SKSE, Sexlab, and Fnis are not the latest available. None-the-less, the game runs smoothly and is stable.

But strange things are happening.

Walking south out of Kynesgrove with Ceri, Sofia, Arissa and a Sister of Dibella following me to "someplace more private", we met and killed a sabretooth cat. Completely normal until the Sister knelt by the corpse, reached between its rear legs and began stroking. Odd, but probably an artifact of relative positioning dictated by the games engine. At the moment, however, it did seem as though the Sister had given in to some sort of kinky impulse.

Some followers wander. Minerva is designed to do that and has a routine between Solitude and Dragon's Bridge. No problem there. But I have installed sometime ago the "Snowline", a lodge near South Brittleshin Pass, and some strange meetings (parties?) have been occurring. I visited there recently and discovered three Dibella Sisters, Nila the Barbarian, four bandits (usually are camped south of Riverwood) and all the refugees from Fort Dawnguard milling about the main room. They spent the day there and it did seem "normal" for them to be there although I do wonder what they are planning. Actually, the four lady bandits (from a mod installed later than The Snowline) come there daily and stay from 0800 to1700 (using the boat transport from Snowline; I know this because I followed them). Nila predates The Snowline and rather than staying at the Wanking Skeever, will often be found walking the road between Solitude and Rorikstad. Brigitte (of the Magic Lute) is a recent addition and she will follow the same path as Nila but I have yet to see her at Snowline. I am not a programmer nor am I well versed in the ways of scripting but it seems that some mod's scripts can "bleed" into another mod's intention. I can accept that if it is, indeed, what is happening.

I was happy with that simple minded explanation.... until yesterday morning'

I play in an altered state of mind. I prefer it that way so that my personal walkabout has meaning for me. So perhaps what happened was a wrinkle in my personal perception (or I really am crazy) but it did seem profound at the time. I recalled that this happened once (and only once) before with Rigmor. Sofia, Ceri, Arissa, Rigmor and I were traveling from Whiterun to Markarth and were about to enter the rocky lands at dawn when I stopped to check my bearings. Rigmor turned to face the east. I thought that this was odd and tested it by walking a few steps and stopping. Every time I did this Rigmor would turn to stare eastward. I thought it was unusual but explained it to myself that it was some programming from her mod and did consider posting to the mod's author to ask but I never did'. I really thought no more about it until yesterday. The usual crew plus Puppy (from Riften's Kittens) approached Falkreath coming from Lakeview in the early morning. Puppy stopped and turned to stare to the east. The feeling I had was profound (I was really altered). I started thinking of the lines from "I Robot": "Why, when left in a dark room, will an android walk to a light? Why do androids congregate when left alone? And then to.... did Skyrim wake up? Certainly all of this can be explained by some logic of permutations and combinations of billions of bits of things I don't understand. It is not real. Then I remember that the entire universe is the result of permutations and combinations of billions of bits of things that I do not understand.

I post this out of wonder if any of you have experienced odd things in Skyrim. Has any of your followers ever turned to contemplate some un-seen thing in the east? Are they behaving oddly?

Is there some new Skyrim gawdling slouching toward Bethlehem? ..... or has the cheese done slid off my cracker. If so... I don't mind. I prefer this crazy over the accepted world of shite.

I would be greatly interested in hearing of oddities.

Cheers

For what it's worth I'm fairly confident your skyrim has not in fact developed it's own intelligence and is probably not judging you... they I did it now let me go skyrimnet.
