Porting Dreamburrows Sage outfit to SSE

Hello. Usually mods just work with SSE. If it has a BSA file you simply unpack and voila. I have a bunch of armor mods from LE and they all work. But for some reason DreamBurrows Sage outfit doesn't. Ingame its just a red exclamation mark. I tested it in LE and its fine. And then I opened it up in CK and of course, the red exclamation mark is there. I tried editing it and readding the nif files but in the preview box its still a red exclamation mark.

Also the mod itself is a loose mod so there are no BSA's. All the models are there. I'm not sure whats going on can anyone give me a hand?

EDIT: Ok I went ahead and did the more simpler thing.

So I got the SSE version of the normal Sage outfit and I unpacked the BSA and replaced the textures with the LE retextured one and voila. BUT I still wanna know what was wrong with the mod for it to go crazy like that, just in case it happens again so i can fix it.
