Vampire Face Miss match.

Ok I've read all over the internet trying to figure this out.  Lets start.

 

I wanted to modify a vanilla NPC Sylgia to be my vamp wife. 

 

Better vampires mod does that (or console commands "setrace Nordracevampire")

 

However I get gray face or in the case of Special edition its BLACK face.

 

I went into the Creation kit for Special edition to modify her.

 

I changed her hair, added some makeup and of course changed her race to Nordrace Vampire.

 

I exported the facegen data and saved.

 

I got the error "Missing femalehead".

 

I checked the facegeom folder.  ITS THERE.  ALL INFO WAS GENERATED.

 

So I have no dam clue why this still won't work.

 

How did Bethesda even get other NPCs like Vilgalmo to not have black face?

 

When I compare the two in the CK the info is nearly identical (save for being male and Altmerrace).

 

I've familiarized myself with a good bit of creation kit.  I would love it if someone would give me a quick pointer on wtf i'm doing wrong.

 

Also what is that "Is Chargen Face Preset" option in the individual NPC editing?
