KrotGovnorot Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Skyrim just crash to desktop every time I try to save the game. It happens on all of my saves no matter old or new. I tried clearing my save with "Save game script cleaner" and also with "SKYRIM save cleaner". That temporally fixed my problem and I could save the game again with no troubles, but when I try to load my latest save the problem returns, game just crashing again. Sometimes it show me error message (different file paths every time but the error stay the same): It happened after I deleted some mods I no longer need. By the way I use MO.
allsunday Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I'm very much leaning more towards the notion that you officially have a broken save. It's not the end of the world though. After almost 2,000 hours of playtime, I restarted my entire game just because Dual Sheath Redux wasn't working properly. That's it. That was the only reason. I never even reached Solstheim. But I'm glad I started a new game because I'm now using Requiem and Skyrim is a whole new experience. Anyway, if you do start a new game, install only the mods you know for sure you can't live without and if there's a mod you want to try in the future, be sure to backup your saved game first so you can revert back to it if you decide to uninstall the new mod.
KrotGovnorot Posted July 18, 2017 Author Posted July 18, 2017 I get to the same conclusion. Looks like saves are really sensitive to installing and uninstalling mods.
