Subboyty Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I really wanna do this right and have little complications, finally have my computer and I have myself the sims 3.
Coyotl Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 This is for Windows based machines: In your My Documents, you should find an Electronic Arts folder containing a The Sims 3 sub-folder. Unpack this in your The Sims 3 folder: Mods.rar This will create a new folder (Mods) with two subdirectories: Overrides and Packages, along with a cfg file that tells the game to read everything you place in those folders. Any package files you download go into that packages folder. Any sims3pack files you download go into the Downloads directory that should already exist on your system. While package files will install automatically via that .cfg file (though it's often best to clear your cache files), the sims3pack files must be installed via the Sims 3 Launcher (via the Downloads button, naturally enough).
