Horse Blocked By Invisible Objects

So, I'm riding along and suddenly my horse behaves as though a wall is in front of it. Nothing is there, but no forward motion even though the horse is still walking. And its only my horse doing this. Nothing happens if I try walking through the same spot. Turning the horse to one side or another does nothing. The only thing that works at this point is to turn around, pause a moment, walk a few paces, turn back around and then walk forward. Doing so and the horse does not run into it  again. Its as if whatever was there disappeared once I had the horse backtrack a few steps.

 

This is a new game that does not have any new mods. I have literally never had this happen before. Not only that, but I can't find anyone reporting the same thing.

I have the exact same thing. Sometimes it helps to just stop and try to jump. If your horse does an animation like its scared of a snake or something, you can continue riding it. If it doesn't work you have to do what you said.
