I finally managed to make my first actual self made clothing mod but here is one issue. I for some reason try to convert it to oblivion and when I do that it does not go well. It is a thong and when I convert it to oblivion i just get the lower body and no thong, any advice for a noob?

Any help will be much appreciated T_T

1. Should be in Oblivion adult section.

2. You have set it to Lower Body in the CS?

3. You have mapped in to female and not male by mistake when adding the item in game?

4. Correct skeleton?

Thank you for the reply (and mods if you can move it there it be great sorry ><)

Yes the construction set is set for lower body.

It is also mapped to the female.

And yes I used one of the universal skeletons (used for many other mods)

Though I must say now you mention it. How does one map in CS to body mod? I ask this because I used to use the DMRA body but I did a few touch ups on the Suicup 2 body and added bouncing boobs too it (with the help of many tutorials and bouncing booty thanks to Mailamea's approval)

I am using this as her lowerbody wanted to make a none nude option for the body I am using. (The Suicup 2 body).

Thank you so much btw for your response :)

Your nif looks a bit odd in nifskope, maybe you've got it set up differently to mine, but are all the node children of the scene root? There shouldn't really be anything in the nif that isn't.

It is his setup, depending on what you are attempting to do different setups make life easier. the setup he is showing however is not good for mesh modding. For mesh modding the default setup works best

@ triplebn1, After looking at your nif screenshot i can say that you are having issue's because your thong is not properly weighted.

Thank you so much for the reply as well, in regards to weigting do you mean like the bone weight copy type of thing? (Ie if I boneweight with body problem be solved?)

Also you mentioned default settings, if you mean by export I did that as well :) but I must confess I use a cube when I made the thong X_X.

Yeah, the weighting is done with the bone weight copy script mostly. Usually does the job well, but you may want to check in blender that it's actually weighted properly.

Most things start from a cube, have to have something to begin with :)

until the day comes that you learn how to weight paint, just use bone weight copy.

When I was referring to the default settings I was talking about nifscope. you have it set up in a way that is wrong for mesh modding but rather good for creating pose mods. I do not know if nifscope has a shortcut to revert to the default settings, you may have to manualy change them back (if you care) in the end you can use what ever settings are best for you but it could make getting help a bit more difficult
