Guest Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Ok so I got 3ds max yesterday and decided to watch some tutorials and do random stuff with it (pretty much trial and error). Since I couldn't find a pair of pants that I liked so far I mixed up some armor pieces   Used the Skinwrap tool to get a skin and BSDismemberSkin Modifier (worked fine for the breastplate I did), exported the nif and created a new armor piece with it (made it use the slot unnamed 49) but I just can't get it to show up ingame. The breastplate was completely black before I fixed it but the pants don't show up at all.  Now my question is if I missed anything important that could be causing this.
shedidwhat Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 are you using Nightasy's Tutorials ? http://www.youtube.com/user/NightasyTutorials/videos  did you asign the pants to Skyrim Torso 1 aka Skyrim Main body at the BSdismember stage.  using slot 49, did you only edit the nif or did you make a esp for your mod and aasign it to 49 in the esp and the nif

I asigned every piece I mixed together to Skyrim Main Body at the BSdismember stage and I created a new esp and asigned the new Armor and ArmorAddon to slot 49.
shedidwhat Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 cool, so what was the problem ? esp or nif (im still learning the esp part)
Guest Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Didn't add the correct number to BSDismemberSkinInstance in the nif file.
