PC spontaneously shuts off under load. PSU or Mobo to blame?

I thought the first signs of this issue was months ago when my computer just shut off while watching a youtube video or something. But now that I think back on that, everything connected to the power saver was off, not just the PC.

In the past week though I am having this issue where while playing Fallout 4 or Team Fortress 2 the PC will shut off and won't come back on for a minute or two. I keep toggling the switch on the power saver until I can get the PC to turn back on, don't know if that did any good or if the PC was just cooling down.

Yesterday it was happening continuously, even shortly after boot without any load. Eventually it stayed on and has been on since, at least 12 hours, but I haven't been playing any games for fear that it will happen again.

So the question is, how can I know what the problem is? Unfortunately I don't have a spare PSU to test. If it will help anyone here I have the openhardwaremonitor log for when it happened last.

By the way I posted here about a year ago with a similar issue with this same computer. My computer was shutting off during load, but that was easily diagnosed as CPU overheated. I got some thermal paste and a giant heatsink, which fixed that issue. It doesn't seem like an overheating issue(judging by the log above) this time, but what do I know? Perhaps it is the motherboard itself fucking up.

It sounds like a textbook MB issue.  If it were PSU you shouldn't be able to even turn the PC on again.  The capacitors probably have gone bad or dried up.  The good ones usually last 5-8 years and the cheap ones 3-5 or less.  Heat will accelerate the process.  The capacitors are replaceable but a new board usually is cheaper than the labor cost.

See if there is any bloat or discoloration with the capacitors.  Check the CMOS battery as well, but nowadays they usually last longer than the capacitors.

What a pain in the ass. Ever since I built this computer on a tight budget many years ago it has essentially doubled as a space heater. Even though the sensors don't show overheating I always felt the thing was hotter than it should be. The side of the PC with the MB attached gets surprisingly hot while playing certain games.

I will take your advice and check the capacitors. I planned to pull it out today and blow some dust anyway.
