Paradox_of_Theseus Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 I'm sure one of my many mods is to blame, but some NPC's don't like me. They are not aggressive, but they do give me the classic phrases of "I hope the wilds clam you some day" and other unfriendly banter. The most annoying are merchants or innkeepers, but thanks to the [blank}ful Wenches mod, there is always someone who can sell me food or rent me a room. I've played like this for a long time and its no big deal until now. I would really love to buy property in Riften, but unfortunately the Jarl and her Steward are not fans of me. I've done the Skooma quest to unlock the option to buy property, but I suspect that because they don't like me I am not getting the dialogue option. I've tried changing the relationship rank via console and set it to 3 on both, but that does not help. At this point any thoughts or ideas on how to do this would be appreciated.
allsunday Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I would just disable mods and then redo the console command prompts if I were you. Really doesn't take long to do. The sooner you figure out whether or not it's really a mod that is causing it, the sooner you can decide to start a new game if you realize your current game is broken.
