Dyne1 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Hi, I am trying to add a semi-transparent to a tank top, but with no luck. I managed to play around with NiAlphaproperty on nifscope, painted the alpha channel to give a semi-transparent looks, as you can see it appear on nifscope but when it is in game the effect is not there. I've searched google for an answer, doesn't seem there's any information which could directly assist with my problem. I hope someone can provide me with some information. Regards,
Watcher187 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 There should be a thread I started last year covering this. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/61726-req-information-on-translucency/
Dyne1 Posted June 16, 2017 Author Posted June 16, 2017 Hm, I've read your thread before. Thanks for linking it. Seem to work now when I changed the BGSM alpha but not sure if it is the correct way to do it. But w/e I guess since it is working.

I remember it being super not fun to get clear information because of the mix between dds and bgsm that the current engine uses. There are pros and cons to the method but mostly it's just a headache finding out which one the game actually wants to reference on any given file.
