Hello everybody, I'm The Mad God sharing you depressing news once again.

 

I've made a thread about another terrible incident. But I felt that this one deserved its own thread.

So yeah, 12 dead. Many more wounded. Some guy went into the movie theater loaded with tear gas bombs, rifles, handguns, and body armor. He simply gunned down anyone he could see. Sad really. The man responsible, James Holmes, has his apartment building under siege by police. It is believed to be booby trapped.

 

Apparently people are accusing 9gag of being responsible for the shooting. But I think that's bullshit. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just 4chan trying once again to undermine 9gag. I don't like either sites so I don't really care though.

There is never going to be a rational explanation for crimes like these. A speedy trial and an execution of the mass murderer is what needs to happen.

 

You can't rehabilitate these types.

Sometimes I wonder about things that happen in our life:

 

One of the 12 people reportedly killed in a mass shooting at a screening of the latest Batman movie in Denver was at the Eaton Centre in Toronto on June 2 moments before a gunman opened fire in the mall's busy food court.

 

Jessica Ghawi, also known as Jessica Redfield, was among those killed in the shooting spree late Thursday night, her parents told local media in her home state of Texas.

Or better yet' date=' give them a true life sentence (I say true life, because even the average murderer only serves approx 30 years if I remember right) at hard labor, but provide an overdose cocktail of drugs for those that want to end it. Suddenly people wouldn't be as eager.

 

I made a joke on another forum about the movie being just that bad. The owner flipped out on me.

 

He seems to not have gotten the message before that I'm a terrible person.

 

This guy didn't get a high score for fatalities, but he DID apparently get up on the list for number wounded.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On a related note what is really disgusting is how people are already trying to use this for political attacks, like apparently some guy with the same name of the shooter had to have his phone disconnected because he was getting so many calls/threats....... apparently one of the broadcast networks (I was at work when I heard this, just got in and havent checked yet) read on some blog that that guy was the shooter and a tea party supporter, and boom, he becomes a political target for having the wrong name.

 

 

 

But yeah that's mostly because journalism is almost nonexistent in the U.S. these days.

 

 

But yeah, big tragedy, it's a shame also that noone in the theater had a gun on them to shoot the shooter with.

A single concealed carry permit could have ended the thing a lot sooner.

In Texas he would have been shot and likely killed after firing the first couple rounds. Concealed carry works y'all!

 

I don't agree with life sentences for 1st degree murder. Why should society be forced to pay for lodging and food for these horrible people? A quick and humane death is the only answer that benefits society and gives a semblance of justice to the victims.

You ask me, hard labor needs to be brought back and strictly enforced, that and zero way to get out ever for any violent crime, but supply some drug they can take if they want to die.

If I remember correctly, in Texas if there are 2 or more credible witness to the crime, the death-penalty is expedited to nearly half the normal death row time. Like the comedian Ron White said "Most states are trying to stop the death penalty, my state is opening an express lane."

 

Sometime we get it right in Texas...

Man you guys could not be further from the truth! Have none of you seen the vast amount of evidence that has come out of Hollywood regarding large snow falls and sex? Snow makes the chicks get horny and leads to easy scores!! :P
