Wondering if something like these exists...

Hi all, fairly long time lurker here, and I was wondering if anyone had any info or leads (If they have even been created) on a few different things, namely a few general "Styles" of armor/weapons and animations that I am quite fond of----And if any/most of these are unavailable or non-existent, then it would be great if someone could point me to a general tutorial on modding Skyrim that would specialize in this regard.

Now to start off with an easier one, I am a huge fan of the Spell Singer casting animations mod from Oblivion.

Now, as stated above, does anyone have any information of some sort of port or something like that for Skyrim? If not, how difficult/time consuming would it be to do so myself?

Also, is there any type of mod that would loosen up the controls and the various other animations for combat and movement? The way characters in Skyrim move and the way the camera is situated has always seemed far too stiff and unrealistic.

Are there any mods that would smooth out the somewhat clunky gameplay and allow for me to walk directly in all directions, as opposed to sidling and scuffling and backstepping? If any of you have ever seen/played TERA, that game would be a prime example.

I'm not really a huge fan of my characters running around half naked--Especially my warrior-types, though for mage-types and rogue/archer-types it doesn't really bother me as much as they logically need more movement. Essentially I still like them to look attractive in a more practical and relatively austere way, so to speak.

However, on the modded gear end, I find it somewhat lacking in variety, and seemingly find myself in the minority when it comes to my sensibilities in regards to armor and weapons.

To my dismay, the vast majority of higher quality female armor seems to be primarily plate-bikinis and strips of cloth. Now, I'd like to mention I'm a huge fan of more "form fitting" armors---But on that end, I haven't really been able to find much that fits that description apart from your typical catsuits and the like.

For heavier armor, if you could, imagine this but with chain-mail covering the unarmored parts:

Doing a quick google search, I found a few perfect examples (I believe one of them is possibly on here, as it's from TERA, but it still serves as a nice idea of what i'm trying to get at.)

While, also, when it comes to lighter armors, if you could imagine something of a cross between Alyn Shir's armor from Amalur (pictured below) and Neo's Slave Leia outfits (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13052), but possibly a bit less revealing, that'd be great.

Also, for weapons, I've found staves and bows to be the most sparse of them all when it comes to new and/or custom designs, the same issue present in Oblvion. That's likely because of the game's mechanics and most staves tendency to be useless, while not much creativity can go into bows, but whatever the case, the fact remains the same. There are hundreds of times more swords and axes and such than there are staves and bows, so if you could send me off in a general direction of where I could find some that have a bit of flair, that'd be sweet. I'm not too picky on this end. As long as it isn't distinctly bland like most Elder Scrolls staves/bows tend to be, then I'd be immensely grateful for anything you could name out =P

Again, any help or directions would be very much appreciated, and as stated above, if needed I wouldn't be opposed to trying my own hand at this.

Adding chainmail textures to that armor shouldn't be long or difficult, if you've got a version of nifskope that handles Skyrim nifs (I use an oblivion-compatible one, and it doesn't work) and a chainmail texture (shouldn't be hard to find).

I'm not sure, but I think I saw a Dynasty Armor set somewhere and, with chainmail textures, it might have the look you are going for, judging by the 2nd screenshot.

As for making these... You'd have to learn 3d modeling, and while easier said than done there are plenty of tutorials out there that you can use. It's very rewarding (even if you can only do the most basic things deleting a combined mesh or pulling a few vertexes).

Making animations is a whole different story. There's tutorials for it too, but it's different from 3d modeling so I'll suggest you pick one or the other and stick with it until you are fairly comfortable with it (if you want to pick either).

Heh, thanks man. I'll be keeping my eyes out for a chainmail texture, then.

Also, just as an update, I looked around for hours last night before and after posting this, and sadly, it appears i'll just have to deal with having to backstep during combat, as although I've found a fair few run animation replacers, none of em allow you to run towards the screen in combat =/
