Massive increase in freezes in Solstheim

Greetings,

 

I was wondering if anyone else experienced problems with the Dragonborn DLC, especially with Solstheims outer areas. I've got quite a lot of mods running, but my game is usually rather stable - every now and then it crashes in the vanilla area too, but it's managable and more often than not I don't have any problems at all. However, when I go to Solstheim I get freezes about every 10 - 20 minutes. It's no CTD, but just a freezing of the screen.

 

I can't walk a hundret meters without encountering this problem, however, in the interior areas and the daedric realm it's all fine.

 

Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?
