DSR Follower Shields on Back Issue

Hey guys, I hope the day find you well.

 

I am having an issue I can't seem to pin down.

I am running SRLE LOTD and a few SexLab Mods.

 

The issue I am having is that shields on back is not working for followers it works fine for the player.

The shield will go to their back when I give it to them however when they ready their weapons they use the one hand equip animation and the shield disappears as they unequip it. It will stay unequipped until I give it back to them only to have the issue repeat when they ready weapons. If I toggle off NPC shield on back in the DSR MCM they will use the shield as normal. This occurs even if they are naked and have nothing but the weapon and shield so I am pretty sure it is not a slot conflict.

 

I am certain I followed the SRLE LOTD guide to the letter and have all the required animations so I am left to consider it must be one of my sexlab mods.

 

I am currently using

SAM and SOS with UNP, they work fine together no issues.

EDIT: well I put together a test setup of just the unofficial patch, FNIS and the animation packs from LOTD and the issue is still there so it seems the issue is not related to any mods at all but an issue with the current setup of SRLE  LOTD.

Animation packs are Funny Biz, M2M and sexual vampire feed. 

 

As far as anyone knows do any of these mods conflict with DSR? I can't think of how or where the issue is coming in. The game is otherwise stable and runs great other than a few CTDs every so often but I expect that on a heavily modded game. If anyone knows anything about this issue I am all ears.
