Skyrim Shadow Flicker Issue

I am having this exact issue shown in this video. I'm running an Nvidia gtx 560 with the latest drivers installed.

 

 

I have seen some videos on adjusting some settings in the skyrimprefs.ini file, but they really dropped framerate. If you've fixed this, what settings did you use to maintain framerate?

Set settings to high or ultra for shadows fixes this.

 

On low and medium shadows look like crap there was a ini line that did smooth shadows but it stoped working for me.

 

Cheak nexus for fix.

open Skyrim.ini in a program like notepad, then add:

 

fSunShadowUpdateTime=0

 

fSunUpdateThreshold=2.0

 

directly below the line the says [Display]

[Firedoom]

I use:

 

fSunShadowUpdateTime=0.200

fSunUpdateThreshold=2.000

 

I also use Timescales modified mod to set my timescale to 5. So one real life minute equals 5 game minutes instead of the default 20.
