Roachboy Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I have a couple of armor pieces that I would like to convert to hgec. I've installed blender (it's even working) and nifskope. I have dabbled a bit with both programs and here is what I've been doing (any advice on what is wrong or could be done better is welcome) - open armor to be converted in nifscope - select any "skin" that is showing and go "block" ---> "remove" - open hgec-body mesh in nifscope - select body/skin, go "block" ---> "copy branch" - back to armor and "insert branch" - get an error message hm ... so ... - open skeleton.nif and paste all the branches (including the body) that I want to have onto the skeleton ... save new nif. - open that nif in blender ... and now? How do I, for example, put a necklace, for example, that is now hidden INSIDE the body (because hgec is bigger there) back outside and in a good position? How do I resize for example the cup of a cuirass to fit hgec, leaving any ornaments on the mesh intact? Honestly, I'm a bit stumped. I tried to read some tutorials (posted here, yes grega, I did some research ) ... but I cannot get it to work or I do not understand (not being a native speaker might be one reason for that). So ... would anybody be so kind as to give me some hints (for example telling me if the process above is ok or not) ... If somebody said that he/she would convert the armor for me, it would of course be even better ... but then I'd not learn anything and remain a lazy ass ...

Roachboy Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Thank you Ark, the first tutorial linked actually is the one that I used to get started ... but either I'm trying a piece of armor that is more complicated or I did not understand everything. I'll take a look at the other two links.
