I was wondering, would something required for more complex clothing / races like Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeletons be compatible with Lovers?

I read somewhere that overwriting the lover's skeletons causes things to glitch out / body parts to extend infinitely.

You read correctly. The LAPF skeleton does everything Coronerra's and Growlf's does, but also includes the bones required for Lovers/LAPF.
