Help, problem with character feet. (Screenshot added)

Recommended Posts

I am using CBBEv3M and Navetsea's skins - I just tried Falmer boots to see if I could duplicate what you describe (I had to use player.additem etc., as I didn't have any), and I could see no issue.

I'm guessing it's like, big blocky black pixels all over the feet, or something similar yes? Post a screenshot here (if you're having trouble adding it as an attachment, you can post one at, for example, Nexus, and then provide a link to it here) & we may be able to help. It does sound like a textures problem from the description, but a screen or two showing the issue would help.

*Just a thought - I have in the past occasionally witnessed skin texture failures in-game & have seen blackened effects on models. I usually had to delete the last several saves (usually the autosaves) in my list to remove the problem.

Check your feet textures. If the feet remains like that with or without the armor, then it might be from the textures.

It works without the boots properly and the glitch comes when I put Falmer boots in.

HOWEVER, when I put in Femfeet mod that supposedly has a falmer boots replacer it doesnt work even with femfeet.

I did check and the falmer boot file is in the femfeet mod.

Can you please clarify that section? I am having trouble understanding. If it is what I think it is, then it's still a texture problem.

Open the mesh of the Falmer Boots in nifskope. Then, look for the mesh of the female feet (you can just click the feet and nifskope will highlight the branch). Expand the NiTriShape of the feet mesh, then expand the BSLightingShaderProperty. Click on BSShaderTextureSet and look in block details. Expand the Texture branch of the Block Details and make sure all of your textures are correct. If not, change it accordingly and see if that helps.

Another thing you can do is right click on the NiTriShape of the feet mesh of the falmer boot. Go to texture and click on Edit UV. Zoom into the UV mappings and check that it isn't highlighting a black texture.

I'm looking at it in nifscope but I am clueless as to what I'm supposed to do.

I've never used this program before.
