"The application was unable to start correctly."

If I rename d3d9.dll and dinput8.dll to something else, the game runs, but I miss out on the Autolink functionality.  I've tried installing previous versions and have had the same result.  I wonder if anyone else has had this problem before, since I have not found anything helpful in my searches.

I'm trying out the 3.01 version right now.
