{Outfit Studio} - Help adding a slider from a .bsd file?

I've been wracking my brain over this one for a couple of hours, and I'm positive I'm just missing something simple - but I'm trying, as the title states, to add a slider to an existing set using a .BSD file that I was given.

 

So far, I've been able to load the .xml - create a new slider - drag the .bsd into that new slider - and then save it... but no combination of conforming, checking, unchecking, or saving that I've tried has resulted in quite the right outcome. The new slider works just fine - however, none of the existing sliders do. 

 

Anyone have any ideas? It's been ages since I've used Outfit Studio.
