CTD on new fresh save

Hi

I've been recently plagued by CTDs on a fresh save, it occurs when I use the Alternate Start area bed after choosing. Most of the CTDs are related to exterior starts and also when you go outside. Ive tried cleaning my save but it makes no sense, the Save game Script Cleaner crashes when I load my save, the Scalpel tool doesnt do any analysis. I have no idea what to do

Log looks like normal scriptspam to me, but then that's what it is supposed to be

 

Order looks complicated - no "order" in it, you should bring some order into your order, so you can find stuff faster without searchbar in Mod manager, whichever you use, same goes for your actual Mods if you use MO

Once you group mods / plugins (all followers together, all cosmetics together, all lighting/shading stuff together, all xxx together, etc.) which exception of those that HAVE to be at bottom, then you also find culprits faster (especially combined with tes5edit)

Im using LOOT for the load order, I had about 15hrs in the save earlier but then it started to fall apart :/

LOOT is like pulling the ejection seat in a plane, TES5Edit is actually landing it

 

Loot uses dependencies, and that's it - it should "work" - but the result usually looks like hell XD

 

besides dependencies there's also overrides, mods can override mods

 

these overrides can also be -wanted-

 

LOOT cannot see this though, it's a machine, a toaster, not a person

 

in my install that happens all the time, for example a mod changing 1 NPC thats already changed by a mod that does "all NPC"

I stopped using LOOT years ago, because that would "naturally" put the Big mod after the Small one and de facto disable it

 

advantage of tes5edit is it tells you of missing dependencies when it starts (it stops loading when a mod's Masterfile isnt there)

once in, you can besides cleaning Update/Dawnguard/Hearthfire/Dragonborn

few days ago i from scratch installed skyrim (new computer)

(AND fallout new vegas + FO3 = TTW)

 

3 steam downloads, 2 "games" - both fully modded and running perfect: <24h

 

the Edit tools are by far my favourite, tes5edit, fnvedit etc. - those are why i pulled this off

(and an external HDD with ~50 skyrim mods to speed acquisition of mods up)

 

once you master tes5edit - and its counterparts - setting up Bethesda games is child's play

If it is a fresh save then it is most likely a load order problem, possibly script conflicts. Try to start another game with the exact load order, see if it crashes. If it does then you need find out which mod(s) causing it by disable/enabling them. Considering the amount of mods you have installed, it will take some time. And yes, it sucks, been there.

I spent some time fixing things inside TES5Edit and tried playing a little, still had a few ctds but its better overall. Will need to test more to confirm if its all fixed.

I made a new save, was going well until I went to Solitude. Now I cant load any save i made outside Solitude, interior saves work though :/

Edit: I think it was my ENB causing it O.o Disabling the ENB before loading the save made me load successfully, I will still test more and see if it really was the issue!
