New Vegas - Nuka Chemist crafting "issues"

Alright so, after recently playing through new vegas some by myself I found out that while you can make home brewed nuka cola, you cannot use them to make any other variants of cola, which means you're stuck with needing to scavenge bottles from all over the place if you want to make a good amount of nuka grenades. 

 

How hard is it to make a mod that lets you a the very least, use homebrewed nuka cola to make a homebrewed variant of nuka quartz so you can make an infinite amount of nuke grenades?

 

You can make pretty much whatever other explosive pretty easily so why the hell didnt the devs make a homebrewed variant of the crafting tree for nuka nades?
