darknotfear Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 It there a way to make old bodyslide outfit compitible with the new XPMSE? Currently Im still using the XPMSE lagacy version because when i switched to the lastest version, some outfit would have a crushed breast problem. They are somewhat flattened. Is there a way to make the old outfit compatible with the new skeleton, or method to convert such old outfit to newer one? Or did I got it wrong? It is something to do with the animation or HDTPhysic module?
Mud Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 I assume you mean the outfit is weighted to an outdated skeleton/body mesh. It should mostly be simple to do, with some exceptions. Since you're talking about an old Bodyslide outfit, it should be fit to the CBBE body, which means you should be able to load up either CBBE or UUNP as the project reference in the latest Outfit Studio, load the outfit, remove the old body, then conform all shapes to the sliders and copy bone weights, and then you're done. But, because you're talking about breast problems, my guess is this outfit has weighting for the deprecated TBBP Breast01 bones in there. In which case, while selecting part of the outfit, you have to switch to the bones tab and click on the L Breast01 or R Breast01 bones, which should switch your current brush to the bone weighting brush and highlight part of the shape to show that those bones have weight painting there. You'll want to increase the brush's strength, then hold Alt as you apply the brush to weaken the painting until it's all gone, for every shape in the outfit. Once both Breast01 bones' weight painting is completely gone, you'll want to right click them and remove them from the shape and then the project. (All this sounds redundant but I'm fairly positive simply removing the bones without removing all of their weighting corrupts the mesh and causes it to crash the game.) Once that's done you can proceed with the conversion as normal. And start using an up-to-date XPMSE. Nothing good comes from using outdated skeletons.

Especially for the bone weighting part, that really helps. Guess I have to give up on some of outfit since there is no way to batch process them.
