Daedric Prince of Lust Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Is that harmful or not? I'm aware uninstalling certain mods in the middle of a playthrough can be harmful because of leftover scripts, but are followers (mods that don't add any scripts) safe to uninstall?
Pauduan Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Usually yes, unless: 1) you have them currently recruited, or sandboxing 2) you use a follower mod, which will have the follower record stored - usually reset the mod before removing the follower is fine 3) you have given them equipment you need, or made them pick up a quest item which you'll need later I've transported savegames between computers with different mod setups, and simply making a safe save before and cleaning the save in the recipient PC is more than enough. Never had issues.

Pauduan Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 This one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? Always back up the save before cleaning, sometimes improper cleaning may create problems. Ensure it works after cleaning - test all the remaining mods and play for a few hours before committing to the save.
