Sylen Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Introduction I am currently developing a text-based rpg game called "The Realm of A'oria" or for short, just "The Realm". I'm a year into development now, and as the game becomes more complex and hard to debug, i find myself spending more time debugging, trying to test if things work and playing the game, than i actually spend on writing the game. This is why i'm looking for some "serious" play testers, that are willing to not only play my game, but also use the transcript feature of Inform and report to me about bugs. You will undoubtedly find yourself swimming in bugs, but this is part of the experience you will be signing up for. Expectations - I will be sharing test builds of the game, not released anywhere else, which i expect you keep for yourself, and don't share with anyone. - A certain level of discretion is required. - Willing to put some effort into explaining bugs and sharing transcripts printed by Inform (relatively easy). What i can offer you - A relax development process, as i will only be developing on the game when i have time personally, and i only expect you to test the game when you have time yourself. Communication about this is key though. - A unique opportunity for you to share your opinions about the game, and have some kind of influence on the progression of the game. - Your preferred name of reference in the credits section of the game. - An NPC or Monster of your choosing to be added to the game. As long as it fits the setting or is only accessible as an easter egg. What i can't offer you - Money About the Game The game is set in a typical fantasy setting, and is inspired by CoC by Fenoxo and Trap Quest by Aika. The game is fairly transformation-heavy and aims to support the most depraved of fetishes. However, it is planned to let the player choose and shape their own experience before beginning their journey. Current Features - A Dynamic Combat Interface, that supports Spell-casting as well as multiple foes. - A Dynamic Sex Interface, take advantage of opponents you have defeated or be the one yourself to be taken advantage of. - A Personality and Trait System, that allows for the player character to be shaped by their experiences and use these traits to their advantage or disadvantage. - Quests and Stories, the game currently features a few quests (around 5 complete) which drive the story of the character. - Exploration, an exploration system heavily inspired by CoC. - Work and Jobs, the game features 3 jobs right now (bouncer, waitress (at a fine tavern) and waitress (at a sleazy tavern)). - Spells, the game has a wide variety of spells to learn. - Notority and Fame, although roughly implemented, you will find yourself quickly imprisoned if you don't behave in public. Planned Features(currently) - Slavery, Slave-training and Slave Market (enslaving defeated enemies and training them to do your bidding) - More Jobs/Work, a Brothel is planned as well as the ability to do some street walking. More jobs are planned as the game progresses. - Anything i can think of really... Where to find the game? If you decide to playtest for the game, then you will receive download links directly from me either by email or DM's in which ever way works out the best. You can find the game (in its current version), hosted here: http://tfgamessite.com/index.php?module=viewgame&id=828 You can also write to my email: sylenmakesgames@gmail.com - Thank you for your attention! timco99 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Hey Sylen, I can empathize with what your doing. I am working on my own adult style game as well so I hate to see a request for help go unanswered. I don't mind CoC like games but I never got too much into the transformative aspect. I could probably still take a look but I have quite a few obligations myself. What I might be able to help more with is maybe we could work together to find better sources of exposure for our titles, share advice on what directions work and so on. It kind of sucks being an indie developer on your own. Well, in fairness, my girlfriend does help me on occasion with a few simple graphics but the work is 99% my own. Our idea's don't conflict. My game is more modern, survival sandbox-ish, and the vast majority of the denziens you encounter are other humans. I am having a few "fantastic" like creatures though but they will be nothing like you find in a CoC game. If it wasn't so late I'd throw some screen shots down but I don't want to overplay the graphics either. They are mostly for navigating the map, inventory, and the user interface and they range from 32x32 to 64x64 so nothing amazing. Anyway, I kind of ran away with the conversation but, like I said, I can help you out. I'm not too sure if my girl is into transformative. I could try and get her to give it a try but she doesn't game too much these days, adult or otherwise.

Whilst the game indeed will contain similar transformation themes, then they will be way more subtle than what you find in CoC. Exposure is always good, and i would be happy to work together! The only exposure i have currently, is this post, my database entry on TFgamessite and the discusiion thread there. I am planning a patreon, but i also don't want to make a patreon for a game that to some people will feel like barebones. My game is deprived of all graphics, and only text-based at the moment, so if you could point me in some direction there, then that kind of advice is always appreciated. You can write to me on my e-mail about your game, and then i can take a look at it, and maybe give some thoughts about it. Anyways, all help is much appreciated #repost: posted from wrong account
timco99 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I had assumed as much. I was trying to get past another milestone on my program. I'll send you my e-mail to this account/
KevinBlue18 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I love the idea I played both CoC and TiTS from Fenoxo. I played adult IF since I was 12 now I’m 23. I would love to be a tester.
