Soulslayerzx Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I switched to a new program called Blender which I'm sure most of you are familiar with. I made a simple snowman and messed around with it. [video=youtube] So if I wanted to make this an npc like Kumakin from that plush backpack thing or like some monster. How would I do it? I'm not sure how the formatting goes with the .hkx files and I heard that animating in the timeline is different from doing independent animations like: idle, running, standing, sitting. Something called actions, but there hasn't been a real tutorial on how to do it in english. So how do I animate stuff for skyrim? And can blender read .hkx files? Or do they need to be converted into a readable format for blender?
Evilrunner Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 This supposedly converts hkx to kf files that Blender can read http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1797 Not sure how well animating in Blender works though, there aren't any official tools for it yet, and even just getting static stuff out is awkward at the moment.
