CTD on load game

So a rather peculiar thing that's never happened before with my other Skyrim setup on an older PC. I set up Skyrim on my new PC (Windows 10) and after starting a new game (Live Another Life mod), saving the game, and then loading that save, it immediately CTDs.

 

First I figured it could be a memory thing with SKSE so I uninstalled several script heavy mods. Load the save, worked. Saved game, then load game again... CTDs.

 

Then I thought maybe I was loading too many textures at once so I pruned some texture heavy mods (aMidianborn book of silence mods). Load the save again, works again. Saved game, then load game again... and it CTDs again.

 

Maybe I had too many animations loading in FNIS so I reduced it from 8000 to under 4000. Load game, CTD.

 

So I started a new game, worked just fine in the starting area, mods seem to be loading properly, waited until all the mods are loaded. Saved game. Load game...CTD.

 

I started uninstalling more mods. Load game, got in game, saved game, loaded game again, CTD.

 

After that I ran out of ideas. All the mods I've used in the new system, I've used before on my old rig, except for Vivid Weather, Vivid ENB (wrapper instead of injector setup). The culprit could be those two but it's happening on fresh saves.

Old PC rig with working Skyrim and mods:

i7 930 (2.8 gHz)

12gb ram

AMD radeon 230 (2gb graphics)

 

New PC rig that is having this issue:

i7 6700k (4.2 gHz)

32gb ram

nVidia geForce 1080 (8gb graphics)

 

 

Starting a new game with any modifications I made above worked, but as soon as I save the game, then load the game, it CTDs.

 

Any advice or suggestion is appreciated.
