stalfos81 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I just assembled a new computer. Asus 970 pro gaming aura AMD FX 8350 black edition DDR3 1500 32 GB nvidia 1070 8GB vram samsung evo 850 ssd 250 GB and 500 GB western digital 1TB black edition Windows pro 10 x64 My system inferior to my previous system for just opening files, poor frame rate on the most basic visualization with windows media player, previous system is AMD 3630 quad core AMD R270 western digital 1TB black edition (replacement for hitachi HHD failure) 8GB ram windows 7 64 pro (converted to win 10) All wrapped in HP crap I assume most of the problem is windows 10... but could the reason be Asus/nvidia bloatware?
BlueLight Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Whats your ram & CPU (and for the matter, read/write calls) usage at, does this happen over time or when you start your computer, until you turn it off?
stalfos81 Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 Cpu is AMD 8350 8 core at 4.0Ghz ram is DDR3 Corsair vengeance at 1500 Mhz 32GB I uninstalled the extra programs from Asus and Nvidia and everything seems to be much more responsive now. Was mainly for overclocking from windows, led and fan controls as well.
nosdregamon Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Did you install motherboard drivers? Often I initially forget this and Windows uses generic drivers, which are stable, but slow.
