Chauvet Cave paintings are mind blowing for several reasons.

 

1. They are the oldest known paintings, dating back 30 thousand years.

 

2. They rival our best talented artists today.

 

3. They appear to be meant to be seen as animated because they were painted in ways to give the illusion of motion, such as animals with transposed extra legs and extra outlines or... well, see for youself in the pics below.

 

While viewing them imagine your only light source is a flickering torch and you'll get the idea.

Nice. Did you ever read Plants of the Gods or One River?

 

I personally feel that my own experiences with such plants have been essential in helping transform me.

Yup...some 'shrooms or peyote would animate those cave paintings right on up.
