Lydia is BALD!

ok. ive done alot of modding to oblivion and skyrim but ive never seen this before. I copy over Lydia's files but her look doesn't change nor does she have hair (updated apachii hair and tried to go back but shes still bald) ive tried several lydia mods to no avail. use NMM but have manually tried to turn her into something more attractive. (ive disabled all mods and she doesnt even revert to vanilla lydia) Any advice?

Aha. This should've been because Apachii's Sky hair was disabled. If her hair was one of the ones in Apachii Sky Hair, I'd re-enable it and see what happens.

 

Though that sounds pretty strange. You deactivated all the mods and she was still bald? I had this issue with my character once. Go ingame, hit "~". type in "showracemenu" without the quotations. I had this issue once and the game might've been missing the Apachii Skyhair files, so it substitutes with what it thinks is closest to that and is bald since it's bald be default or something. That's for fixig your own character.

 

As for Lydia:

Do you mean, you don't like all the females looks so you get mods like better females, coverwomen, younger females, etc?

 

If it's just Lydia, go to Creation Kit and it's really easy just go to one youtube creation kit tutorial on how to make an npc which is super easy, you get to customize the tatoos,hairstyles, weights, height, armors, and stuff. I have a mod that makes her look very sexy. Not sure if you'd be interested.

sure id be interested in the mod. my problem is when i go to override her looks and hair they don't change at all. its the same pastey bald lydia. and its just her. i got a few npcs with textureless purple hair but i fix that with the ck. and yeah there's alot of good looking lydias from the mods. and i think her current look is stuck on a bald "cute girl re-placer whiterun" but like i said shes stuck somehow with all my mods disabled is a pain.

creation kit just shows her as normal lydia i save it and shes still bald. with the different look. yeah to frustrating still would like to see your mod but I deleted skyrim and reinstalled. hopefully that fixes my little problem. AND she still is bald after full delete im real confused now.!

Lol. The only possibility I could think of is that a mod that relies on some other deacrivated hair mod like Apachhii's sky hair is activiated. The only way to deactivate all the mosd 100%. Is to deactivate skyrim.esm, update.esm, and any of the bethesda ones, since all these esps and modders rely on those master files. Once you've done that, load up the game, it shouldn't work. Then, only activate those main files and it should run perfectly fine. Make sure you have all the mods for the cute girl re-placer whiterun and then it should be fine.

 

Another thing, so is this cute girl replacer mod changing how npcs look by default using sliders or is this a texture or mesh mod that makes them have thinner faces, younger faces, and just makes EVERY girl look better? Or does it change what the npcs look like by default?

gives them apachii hair's changing some of there looks improving others i think its a significant improvement in every city.

 

Ok im seriously considering just disabling her in the game. ive done CK ive done npc editor deleted ALL content mods and vanilla and re-installed fresh.. still bald. im really stumped on this one.

 

any mods ive used to change her looks dont change them ither just blue eyes and a bald head.

 

man what i wouldent give for a hair wig from oblivion ok. instead of trying to fix broke lydia i created a duplicate npc in the npc editor has her old looks and even can be modded with things that effect (lydia). old bald lydia is getting the good ole disable console command and im good to go thanks soulslayer
