Hyxis Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Hello, yesterday i tried to add some voices to my game with additional voices mod but while following the instructions, im stuck now because it ask me to move some files to the skyrim.esm folder in the data/sound/FX but i only have Effects Screams and Sexlab, ive already done the verify intregrity with steam but still nothing , do you guys have any idea of what i should do ? Thanks

Thanks Pretend the folder is there. It's simply compressed in a data file, you can't see it, but if you create the folder structure data/sound/FX and put your files there, they will be used. Think of texture mods, the games main textures are all compressed and out of sight. People wanting to change a texture simply drop their replacement in the folder structure for the texture file.

Yes, as long as your mod points to that folder location or the mod you're trying to alter. Here's another way to think about it: The folder structure exists within the data file. You're creating the same folder structure outside of the data file on your hard drive. Files created on your hard drive take priority over the files that are compressed in the data files that come with the game. If you're curious. You could use one of the bsa extractor programs, point it to the data file and peek at the existing folder structure in the data file to make sure that the folder paths match.
