Modding a mod as only a mcnooblet would...

Found this happy little mod on Youtube:

 

 

Lets you set up your own little execution.  Huzzah.  Of course, I wanted the magic effects applicable to the player.

 

So, I copy-pasted a spell and an effect in the hopes of making that happen.  At first, nothing did.  Character sat there while selected NPCs took positions, or did nothing at all.

 

I poked around some of my mods, and ran across "Force AI" in one of the tabs under Zaz.  Oh look, PC is now participating in the scene!

 

PC kneels at the block, NPC lifts the axe....and stops midswing.

 

Is Zaz the culprit here?  Would deactivating it let the animation run its course?  Or is it something deeper?

 

Any insight is appreciated.
