Hello,

I would like to suggest to people to post the mods that has been found, to make a ''[REL] thread'' in the download section. that way, everybody can find it.

For example: you ask for X mod and you post that picture. Someone else answer your question and post a link to the mod. If that mod hasn't a thread in LoversLab yet, then the person who asked for it could post a ''[REL] thread'' in the download section so that everybody can enjoy the mod he asked for.

The ''what mod is this'' thread is getting bigger and bigger, and if you want to find something it's quiet hard. It happended to me that asking for something made me read 4 pages the next day to find the answer. So if someone finds the mod someone elese was searching for and it hasn't a thread in loverslab yet, if would be nice if that person created a thread with the download link too.

Good or bad idea?

This would create a load of threads, people aren't going to check if there is already an entry, would become one big mess. Just take some time to find it. Or ask people to edit their post asking which mod it is with the link to the mod.

TLDR

It isn't going to make it easier to find.

Makes a complete mess out of the Downloads forum

Way easier options

(it wasn't really shorter:P)

I would say bad. Most of the posts in "what mod is this" is nothing to do with LL anyway so creating a load of threads would just be a bit pointless in my opinion. You can just search though the thread, oh knows you might even find some stuff which you like which is one of the reason why it was posted there in the first place.

Either way your going to have to look in that thread to find your answer anyway.

It's happened a few times for me also, i see a picture of someone requesting something,i then run through page after page to until i find someone responding to the one, maybe there could be a compilation sister thread to the what mod is this thread. Like when a mod is found the compilation thread is updated with a pic and the link?

People creates ''related'' threads all the time with external mods, like from example, from nexus.

Creating threads only for non existing mods, it's very easy since the person who responds puts a link to the desired mod. When that mod is already in loverslab, he or she puts the link to the local thread. When that mod doesn't exist in loverslab yet, he or she puts a link to an external host, site or link, not inside loverslab. So that, it's really easy to distinguish between local mods, which have been already post here, and external mods, which hasn't been post yet.

It would a be chaos? Far from it. The chaos is trying to read 800 pages just to find crap and mods you aren't interested in. But if people kindly post a ''related thread'' it will be easy to download those mods you are really interested about.

It's a matter of people wanting to be more generous and kind, nothing else.

Why are people saying there will be loads of threads? It would or *should* just be one, which would/should have the first post frequently updated so it's all there and not anywhere else. I don't see how that would cause more chaos than what we have now. To the people who are implying such chaos would ensue: That makes no sense whatsoever. I don't see any reason to not have this.

Technically you don't even need a poll to get this running either, just create a topic and keep it updated. Eventually it'll become popular and have its uses recognized.

Thats a good idea but wouldn't it be better if there was an entire new section like adult mods in wich people can make new threads about what they want and be anwsered seperatly , this way it is easier to find what you want  !

Or this, possibly.

just make a topic in the download section

named

"whats been found"

with the rules,

1. all mod links must have a image to show what it is.

2. NO requests (requests belongs in the "what mod is this" topic)

3. "try" not to list the same mod twice

4. whatever

and go with it

[/quote']That would end up like the ''what mod is this thread'' man. Plenty of answered request that nobody wants but you.

What I say it's simply create a topic for the answered request, like people is doing with ''hey I found this armor, download it!'' and creates a related thread with an external mod from nexus or whatever. You can make the same with the mod that was found in the ''what mod is this'' thread. It's simple.

while it would be nice to have something "streamlined" I`m with shedidwhat to a given extend - so voted no for your current request...

it comes down to people actually doing it so how will you enforce all people /askers from example the "what..." thread to write a release thread - ...also if you succeed would it really be "easier" ...that would create a shitload of threads "non" categorized...

also there is another prob I see lately...people request things in the "what..." thread that "are released" on LL alraedy - so they even dont find releases in the same forum but just in this thread ...which is funny XD

so from my pov what "could" be a solution would be something like a wiki - where trusted members could post links with pictures that are categorized somewhat...

also there are! already posts like this - trying the exact thing...streamlining the "what..." thread...but as it only comes down to one user to updating this - those threads die...

the 'what mod is that' thread has 800+ pages. if every second question had an answer with a download link a 'what's been found' thread would still have 400+ pages, or a reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaally long first post, which doesn't make it easier to find something.
