Removing the shine from objects

I've changed the texture of an armor (the armor of the fallen) to a dark metal with more leather, rather than the original blue, but when I load it up ingame it still shines like metal. In fact, even the leather parts are glossy.

I'm completely new to nifskope and volume maps and all those sorts of things, so my question is, how would I make the armor appear as it does in the nifskope screenshot below? Without the glossy shine it has ingame? Thanks to anyone in advance who can tell me what to change or remove.

HI!,

Have you looked under each mesh for the BSLIghtingShaderProperty? Each Mesh there will have it. Scroll down your block details until you see GLOSSINESS. It will take a value of 0 - 100.

This MAY not be your problem and may be a reflection, you asked about Glossiness, and this is how to add that shine ( I can not see your problem from the screen shot ).

I hope this helps.

Peace,

Shay

*EDIT* BTW, if there is only ONE MESH, or parts of the mesh you would like to change but are a part of another mesh..... well suck it up. Either make a new mesh from the old in 3dmax/blender ( I am not trying to be mean when I say suck it up, there is not much you can do BUT this ), OR remove the glossiness from ALL / PARTS you don't want to, depending on how the builder built the pieces of the mesh.

Good luck.
