Dragon Age: Origins modules

First, I will say that I am not modder and this here is a little explanation about the game.

The game Dragon Age: Origins was developed by Bioware (the same developer of Neverwinter Nights, but now the property of Electronic Arts), but the game has some elements imported from the NWN, and is also an old game and an example is to select the direction and the mouse to your character go to it.
What I found interesting is that the DA:O is the system modules, as well as the NWN to access DLCs and then came the question, "- Why is there no adult modules for this game?" and I think the answer comes down to one word: "Popularity".

Now I will leave some gameplays for you to see:

I confess that I have played this game and liked in DLCs only Leliana's Song and Darkspawn Chronicles you play with characters patterns and the rest, you can create a new character or import from another module.

For those interested in creating mods and modules, the download link is here to see how the modules are made and create new from them.

Yes, there are absolutely no adult modules for Dragon Age, and it's so unpopular that no one has heard of it...

I forgot to mention that most of the mods on this website are visual and do not have any similar module to A Dance with Rogue. I think it's politics that site not to have modules as well, but these mods can be useful if anyone here is interested to create modules for adults DAO.

Fucking great game. I agree with any renewed interest.

I agree with you about this game and know what is good even though it old. What is missing in it are adults modules. I would love to see a version of A Dance with Rogues to DAO, but what is missing is people willing to do them and a little encouragement. If I knew how to make mods, I'd be the first person to do so.

Well a Dance with Rogues only exists for NWN. It's not like there are these types of mods out there for any other games. Plus the amount of time and effort likely put into it, not to mention the female who made that mod was actually a talented story teller, it's not likely to happen (as far as creating new content that is similar). The NWN 1 and 2 mods primarily consistent of standalone games, most moddable games these days consist of mods to the existing game, due to things like graphics and voice acting, it's much more difficult to deliver full stand alone type mod to modern games without significant time and resources compared to NWN days. You'd be more likely to get something like this from a Bethesda game where the community is much larger. Bioware basically flushed their mod community down the toilet with DA2 and DAI.

The two things that make modding this game unappealing:

1. EA.

2. Lack of demand due to the game being 7 years old.

Neverwinter Nights is much older than Dragon Age: Origins and so far are creating or updating mods for this.

I've seen a bunxh of adult content mods a long while back, but mostly female on female content IIRC. I only remember the name of one such module "The Tervinter Mages" (yes, "Terviner", not Tevinter. Go figure).

Edit: the nema of the mod seires is Sappho's Daughters. You can find these mods in the Bioware Social Network site, surprisingly.

Adult themed mods do exist for DAO, it's Inquisition that's lacking.

Lesbian themed Saphphos Daughters series, originally on the BSN site, now on Nexus

The Pearl has another one

None are up to the standards set here for Skyrim, but they do exist

This lists the nexus ones

Most endorsed files of all-time (adult-only)

Some more exist on the old BSN site, though that's not going to be available for long, as EA is closing it down.

Forums have already gone, and some mods were only on the forums.

Ururu, I do not know if you read this right, I'm sending a suggestion, not asking for suggestions. I gave my opinion on the Nexus Mods mods for this game.

Thank you and sorry for taking the time to respond.

I wasn't specifically responding to your post, just adding to the discussion, for any who read it, which can be long after it's written.

Especially with new players, and I was actually replaying, and remodding the game at the time.

The Nexus version of Sapphires Daughters, is very new, though the mod is old, it brings all the parts together, in a complete package, for the first time.

Along with an updated version of the Wardens Women, which chamges male companions to female.

So no need to apologise, if my post didn't help you, it had no specific target.

The best advice I can give anyone, is use DAOMM (DAO Mod Manager), to manage mods, and make your own Override Packages with it.

You can even use it with Dragon Age 2, though the Overrides need the game folders name changing manually after creation,

They are simply renamed zip files, and 7-Zip allows you to edit inside the Archive.

So after creating the Override Package, for example

DFA - Diversified Follower Armours.override

Simply open Archive, in 7-Zip file manager, and change, it in your DA2MM Override Folder, mine is

Mod Archives\DA2MM\Override\DFA - Diversified Follower Armours.override\BioWare\Dragon Age\

to

Mod Archives\DA2MM\Override\DFA - Diversified Follower Armours.override\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\

Then the Manager installs the files where they need to be, instead of in DAO. as long as you have changed the settings ini to DA2

Here's my settings for DA2MM (My folder name for it when installed, with a separate DAOMM version)

D:\Managers\DA2MM\DAO-Modmanager.ini

[Program path]

DAO_exe=D:\Dragon Age Series\2 Dragon Age II\Dragon Age II (Origin)\bin_ship\DragonAge2.exe

DAO_Toolset_exe=D:\Dragon Age Series\1 Dragon Age - Origins\Dragon Age - Origins - Ultimate Edition (GOG)\tools\DragonAgeToolset.exe

DAO_Config_exe=D:\Dragon Age Series\2 Dragon Age II\Dragon Age II (Origin)\bin_ship\DragonAge2Config.exe

[DAO-Modmanager Folder path]

Override Packages Folder=G:\Mod Archives\DA2MM\Override

DAZip Packages Folder=G:\Mod Archives\DA2MM\DAZip

Temporary Folder=G:\Mod Archives\DA2MM\Temp

[DAO-Modmanager Options]

automatic compatibility check=Yes

[Dragon Age: Origins]

Dragon Age Folder=G:\Users\Uhuru N'Uru\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2

Screenshots Folder=G:\Mod Archives\DA2MM\Pics

Settings Folder=G:\Users\Uhuru N'Uru\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\Settings

AddIns Folder=G:\Users\Uhuru N'Uru\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\AddIns

Once set up, and with the one time, *.override file edit, it works just fine.

Inquisition mods use the DAIToolsSuite mod, and need merging with every mod added, but considering, EA tried to block modding, it actually works well enough, a lot better now, than on my first playthrough, mods are better, though DAI has almost no adult content, except a basic nude mod.
